How do I steer the viamobil?
Viamobil is as easy to handle and to steer like a manual wheelchair ­ thanks to its single drive wheel in the centre of gravity of the wheelchair. You just choose the direction by means of the handgrips ­ and viamobil does the rest.

How fast does the viamobil go?
The maximum speed can be preselected on the adjustment wheel from 1 to 5,5 km/h (0,6 to 3,4 mph). So every carer may find its own comfortable pace. viamobil adapts itself to your needs ­ not vice versa.

How does viamobil brake?
Viamobil keeps the adjusted speed from 1 to 5,5 km/h (0,6 to 3,4 mph) even when driving downhill so you do not have to brake additionally. If you release the driving lever, viamobil will stop immediately. Also when standing still viamobil guarantees a complete stop of the wheelchair ­ even on upward or downward slopes up to 18 %.

How far do I get with one charge of the battery?
Depending on the weight of the user, the topography and the surface of the road viamobil travels up to approx. 25 km (16 miles) with one charge of the battery.

Which max. slope can be travelled with a viamobil?
viamobil copes with upward and downward slopes of up to 18%. For safety reasons using tilt supports on the wheelchair is obligatory if a ramp or slope is steeper than 8%.

What is the max. allowed weight of the person in the wheelchair? The viamobil is designed for a max. user
weight of 130 kg.

Can viamobil also be transported in a car?
viamobil can be dismounted easily from the wheelchair - without using any tool, just by releasing the quick-lock devices. Thanks to its compact modules it fits into the boot of every car.
